Aslan Reigns Supreme!
You just can't keep a good lion down. In spite of the juggernaut Harry Potter has become and all the merchandise they have managed to squeeze out to poor unsuspecting parents (a chocolate frog about the size of a bite sized chocolate bar is about $3.00!) it looks like Aslan has pimp slapped some sense into Harry and taken his rightful place in the number one spot.

I wasn't even aware there was a contest going on, and although I will admit to thoroughly enjoying the Potter books, as children's literature they barely hold a candle to the Chronicles and a number of other novels I can rattle off the top of my head:
James and the Giant Peach
The Phantom Tollbooth
Where the Wild Things Are
The Giving Tree
The Clockwork Mouse
...and probably a dozen more that, given a quiet afternoon, I could list as well.
So true, Chris.
Interesting turn of phrase to use in relation to Aslan, CubeRev. ;)
Chris,
Having kids must make it fun to read all those old stories huh?
Jenn,
What can I say? Serendipity.
