A Clarification

Ok ok, I'm taking some heat for a comment I made. It isn't a complaint to have so many women around me. As I've just shown men are capable of behaving themselves for a certain period, then it's inevitable that we'll say and/or do something stupid. So we as men need to be around other men in order to get out the rude and annoying things that men are so capable of doing. I am glad to dote on you wonderful ladies and will gladly do so, but understand, sooner or later I am going to say something stupid.

I stopped doting. I used to think it was a requirement, then I realized that no one else is doing it and I really don't like to stand out in a crowd. I am a quiet kind of guy. I keep to myself. Some might even call me a hermit. I even had a hermit crab as a pet and named him Eddo Jr.

Girls have their expectations set too high if you start doting on them, or buying them flowers and gifts. It is a charade, one you know you can't keep up, or afford to keep up, and even if you could afford to, who wants to continually throw their money away on something that is going to die? Not me.

Poetry is a waste too, as well as candles and romantic music. Girls really don't like that stuff anyway. It is too sensitive, too emotional. They don't want a crybaby, they want a man.

Hey man, I can give the best of both worlds. At least I'm not metrosexual.

Eddo: what is WITH you today? Crabs? Little Uncle Ben haters? hahaha you're a riot.

And I'll just have you KNOW that it's NICE when a man dotes! We're not talking flowers and candy and crap like that: but it's nice when a man WORKS to be with a woman. Any ol' guy can tell me he wants to date me. Doesn't mean he's going to get me. I want some effort put into this: show me that I mean something to you - or you're NOT worth my time!

Oh and by the way: poetry? Eh. Kinda sappy. Candles? Goooood. Romantic music? If it's jazz, I'm all yours. And I'll just add my own: If you can sit through chick flicks: double points for you!

*carefully stepping down off the soapbox*

ha ha! I was trying to fool you ladies. I love chick flicks most of the time and poetry, and candles, and music - I am simple and complex at the same time. That is what you get when you have two really cool older sisters.

Sure, everyone says something stupid every now and then, but guys are much more likely to do this. It is some strange curse.

BTW, I like the new look!
