If A Celebrity Poops In The Woods And No One Is Around To Hear It, Does It Make A Sound?

If you are Drew Barrymore and brag about the experience then yes it does. Here is an article that I don't want to believe this is a true article, but it just strengthen my belief that they should stick to acting and keep their opinions to themselves. They do not live in reality, but a fantasy world where their every whim is catered to. Perhaps they feel guilty for the blessings they have been given, I do not know. What I do know is I wish they'd shut up and get back to doing what they do best (usually) and act.

Mad props to Theology Geek Blog for finding this article.

This is one of those times when I would have not believed it if I hadn't seen it happen on more than one occassion.

That article truly discusted me!
:(
I find it sad that with all their wealth, they R so ignorant!
They should try 2 live my life, meek and poverty stricken!
I think we need a reality show where someone "Rich & Famous" had to give up all of their money, and live homeless 4 one month!
I think the results would B amazing! (Would bring them back 2 reality REAL FAST!)
:)

I totally agree, I think we have become totally soft and whiny. It'd do us all good to do some missionary work of some sort in a third world country and really see if things are all that bad here.

I... I really don't know what to say. Celebrities are just... beyond my understanding of things.

Anyway, thanks for the blog comments! I like your site, I'll definitely be checking back.

wait - celeb advocate, perhaps - besides the utter absurdity, is there anything actually truthful in what they're learning? while they might be clueless, is it okay to throw away all of it on that premise? how many of us learn of "better life" when going to a third world missions trip or something, or learn what's important when everything's stripped away?

just asking, poking the box.

i agree with all the comments above - but i will throw this in...

teens and young adults LOVE watching celebrities on tv and in those situations (ie. the string of uber popular reality shows out)... and if this is getting kids to understand and maybe interest them in further investigating environmental issues - well then, it might just be worth it.

not everyone relates to smart, well thought out, truthful commentary - sometimes crude, funny, trendy, and gimmicky can serve a purpose...

I have read or watched some Celebrity interviews in my time, trying to get a feel of their personality, well my conclusion is they are very mixed up regarding life views.
I cannot believe half the stuff they say and most of it is pretty discusting. Also, hardly any of their marriages last, or if like Jennifer Lopez, bring the weddngs on!
Thanks for the article link :)

It just cracked me up because it makes them look so vapid! I loved The Surreal Life because here were these has beens trying so hard to regain some measure of their fame. Plus, many of them have lived so far out of the main stream that they do not know what reality looks like (Tom Cruise anyone?). And when I got the opportunity to serve in the DR it did a lot of good for me teaching me to appreciate the blessings that I have, and there are things I do take for granted.

Daggit Jose, now I'm going to have to think.

I'm amazed at how people responded to this post. I thought it'd cause a few laughs, but it actually angered a lot of people.
