Short Review: Transformers
In short it ruled. It was kind of cheesy and they didn't take themselves too seriously. Great one liners, the robots look incredible, and there was a lot of action. I had a blast and will try and see it again.

Working my mojo now to see if the wife will watch the boy so I can see it - I have no expectations of it beng like I remembered the cartoon, so I have high hopes.
It isn't like the cartoon, they took some liberties with it, but considering it is a live action film it is forgiveable.
the transformers kind of come off as goofs in the movie, and optimus prime doesn't have the gravity he did in the cartoon, so the ending isn't as heavy. and, worse, they didn't use the 'transformers' sound effects, come to think of it.
but it was plain, goofy fun. and opt prime's voice is the same, which is really good.
'cuz i'm sick and tired of 'wrong-sounding muppets'.
I finally saw the episode of family guy with the Wrong sounding voices. Hillarious!
Since Family Guy makes me alternately chuckle and get mad, I haven't seen that episode, but just on a purely ignorant level, I have to say that "wrong-sounding muppets" are truly a, hmm--bane? of existence.
Meanwhile, in happier news, I now have high-speed internet so I can watch your Youtube clips . . .
Saw it this morning. Laughed and cheered with glee. Drove to work at 90 mph afterwards.
I am giddy with delight.
Too many shots down girl's blouses for me to recommend to anyone.
