The Private Is Made Public
Did you hear the one about the pastor who got sued by a former member of his congregation? It isn't a joke I am sad to say. I am sure there is a time and a place to reveal a members dirty laundry, but not in this fashion.

That whole story is just disgusting. I'd say that everyone involved has behaved badly.
I remember a similar story years ago with the opposite court ruling. I think that woman believed she was telling the pastor something in confidence and he betrayed that confidence. If I didn't feel I could talk to my pastor about any matter in total confidence, I'd be looking for a new church home.

I know there is a time and place for bringing things public and maybe even to shun them. Maybe it's me, but it seems like everything jumped to that last part awful quick.
